NON-DESTRUCTIVE ANALYSIS

Non-destructive testing (NDT) is becoming more and more common in yacht inspections today. Waterline Marine can conduct the following types of tests:

• External inspections of the hull and deck
• Hull thickness test for steel or aluminum boats.
• Coating (paint) thickness test.
• Moisture Testing for Fiberglass Boats.
• Moisture testing for wooden hulls or boat interiors.
• Electrical ground fault or stray current test.
• Engine or gear oil analysis.
• Machinery cylinder compression test.

In most cases we perform these tests ourselves with our own equipment. In other cases we use the services of a trusted subcontractor. Reports are issued for all types of non-destructive testing.
